Only the tag was posted asking if it could be decided, the owner didn't post the rest of the car, sorry

So it was a midyear change for the rest of production?

While I've seen LOS and NOR on the plant designation, VN for van nuys is one I've not seen before other than on a firebird site.  Is this an anomaly or just not discussed often, for a 69 Camaro?  Plus I'm not trying to decipher the tag, I just screen shot the tag to post my question.

I enjoyed the read, I bought my 67 SS RS in Wichita few years back, I live in Kansas too

Well I went out to garage to check out of curiosity and wow my car has the cable. 67 with deluxe interior

This is great, for information.   Was the cable standard on the 67? I never knew there was a cable ever, I'm only asking as if this is original?

The tag does look off, I know angles and lighting.  The corporation stamping isn't crisp, a pic of the cars next to my cars tag, mine is all black looking

I'd agree, but he seems to think that makes it rare. I'd just never heard of the title method being discussed, I got my first car in mid 80s.

I agree on error, car is 67 period, no matter the title, I'm not arguing with the guy, I had just never heard of what he's trying to make out from back in 1966

If I'm not mistaken it's still just a 67 Camaro, but maybe the title being original and dated 66 is rare?

This is way before my time, I'm not sure what the owner is trying to prove to me but he states back when you titled a car it was title the year not the year of the car, so he has a 1966 title for a 67 Camaro. I think he thinks this is a rarity, im not following what he's stating. I need an older person insight that was buying cars in the 60s to explain maybe

I love the information, I was born in 71 and missed all the old high performance, verses smog dog 80s.  To have seen all this firsthand would have been great, but at the time probably seemed mundane and not seem like it's future would become so rare.

Could you order a 69 Camaro with rally sport and copo 427 and not badge the car as an SS?   And secondly if GM advertised the cowl induction for the Camaro as a super scoop, how was it labeled and sold by the dealer?  Was it sold as super scoop or was it listed as cowl induction?  I've read that Chevelle got the cowl induction name first.  I wasn't born yet so I'm asking for clarification.

I don't see anything in the museum post stating it was for sale, only that it was tuned up and cleaned up for pictures.
