General Discussion / Head lights shut off on high beams
« on: July 11, 2020, 10:01:33 AM »
I have a problem with my 1969 Z11 BB head lights going off when I press the button on the floor. I have tried replacing the button to no avail. I checked all connections from button to the back of the head lights, the only thing I can't check is the high beam indecator in the dash. How would you get to it.

After driving my 1969 Z11 BB I get a strong fuel smell in my garage with no visible fuel leak. Is that a sign of just evaporation or is the float or needle valve malfunctioning?

It says all Models from 1969 on
cut to 3/4 inches

19
Instructions say to cut off contactor at 3/4" does that include the cap or spring end or just the 1" end.
Looks like                 Spring I--------       1"      would make a 1/16" difference.
Hope this makes sense.

What is recommended?

On the Z11 - what color paint is under the cowl where wiper linkage is? White or Hugger Orange

Originality / 1969 Camaro PC Cowl Paint
« on: December 28, 2018, 09:34:23 PM »
Can anyone tell me if the area by the wiper motor arms under the Cowl was left painted white or was painted Huger Orange to match the stripe. I have seen it both ways. Mine is painted orange but looks like it was done with a brush.

Restoration / Re: 69 remote mirror

I also have a 1969 with a remote mirror but I am looking to add the right hand mirror or passenger side. Anyone know what was installed on passenger side when driver side was remote. I purchased the none remote but there is quite a difference between them.

Garage Talk / Re: F Body National Sept 21-22 - Has anyone attended??

No, It would cost a fortune and does not have A/C. Looking at schedule it looks like more of a car show and track event. I'll put the MD show on my calendar.

Looking to drive up to Memphis for the F Body Nationals, has anyone been there? Is it worth the trip?
It is 900 mile drive from FL and am hoping it is worth it. Any other must sees in the neighborhood?
Thanks
