Just an update, tapped out the holes on the flange on the water pump and worked like a charm. Bolts pass through without a hitch and stick out the back side about a 1/4". Thanks for the info and help guys.

Hello,
I'm going to install some kick panel speakers this weekend, using an aftermarket replica stereo, in my 68. I've sourced some 4x6 speakers that will fit behind the original style speaker covers and the hardware I'll need. When looking at the 68 AIM it also shows spacers being used (I assume to help with vibration of the speaker and so as to not crush in the speaker cover with the screws) but I haven't been able to find them, or even a picture of them, to know what the material was, what they looked like, widths and depths, etc.
I've found part #'s in the 67 and 68 AIM of 3899809, 3899810 and 3899811 so I assume they are different widths on the spacers. But those part #'s don't show up on any searches I've done. Has anyone ran into this before, found a good solution or material to substitute, etc? I've searched multiple forums and google, nada. Any help or direction is much appreciated.

Ed, thanks for the updated info on the bolt numbers and size. I had gotten a set on ebay that measured 2.5" as they came from another spacer that was just a 1/16" difference than the one I have. They just went to the last thread on the flange and stopped, like I'd have had to wrench hard to push them past the back of the flange.

Pete, yeah the bolts hit the last thread on the flange and won't turn past it to stick out a bit in the back. If that is how they are supposed to be then the bolts I have should be fine that I purchased and I've got a problem then with the flange that I'll have to fix, probably retap, so the little extra bit of bolt protrudes through the back side of the flange. Just didn't want to go that far if I was missing something else.

I've searched through the forum and wasn't able to find any posts regarding this issue. I am trying to put back together correctly a 1968 350 for my car. I have gotten the spacer 3857041 and the correct 4 blade fan, along with the correct water pump and pulleys. My challenge is finding the right length OEM set of 4 bolts to hold this all together. I purchased a set on ebay and they seem to be about a 1/4" too long (they were our of a fan spacer 3927794). Both are pretty close to the same length according to the research report on CRG, but they won't work. They bottom out at the end of the threads on the water pump.
My question is, what length of bolt should I be looking for? I couldn't narrow it down by looking at the AIM for bolt 9425299 (couldn't find any size info) or is there a problem with my mount on the water pump that the end of the bolts aren't passing through to stick out a slight bit on the back side?

I've never been an art collector, but if I had the dough I'd collect this motor because it looks like that to me. It'd be a nice piece for my garage LOL. But hopefully someone would enjoy seeing it drop into their Camaro when you sell it. If it was a 1968 350/295 I'd be all over it. Best.....

Currently trying to put together the correct set up for my brakes for my car, so wanted to get the correct numbers for the booster and MC. Thanks everyone.

Hi Bryon, or anyone...
I see a lot of great information as I surf posts on here, like the two you posted about the articles and even the one about the brake boosters, but I don't see those links on the main page of CRG at the top. Can someone point me on how to better utilize all the great info. you've all compiled, I feel like I'd bother you guys less (hopefully) with questions that already have answers? Thank for any guidance.

Ugh, so dealing with the same type of situation with an ebay purchase as well. I recently bought a harmonic balancer from ebay, for my 68. I thought I had found one that was actually correct with the timing line lining up with the Keyway, 3896966 (I had posted in a earlier post asking about the differences between the 67/68 and 69 balancers). I was pretty excited to get it as it would be the correct one for my period correct 350 I was going to put in my car. Well, the box arrived from the USPS empty, a big hole in the side like someone had ripped it open, and then wrapped all up in plastic. So I'm going through the steps as others had highlighted in this post to try and get my money back. Should be fairly straight forward, but gotta wait 3 days to file a claim and hear back from the buyer, go to the Post Office to show them the damage, yada yada. I really just want the part, since it was one in 30 on ebay I had found.
Anyway, I just needed to vent to someone who understood the frustration of losing something via an ebay purchase, and a part I was really looking forward to getting. Thanks

Hi Gary,
I see them on the upper right side of the booster, when you're looking at the booster from the front of the car. I've also read where they've been upside down as well.

Sorry if this has been covered, but read through many threads to find this answer. On the Delco boosters, was Delco Moraine stamped into all of them? Or were there some that were OEM boosters without the logo. I have a booster on my car, dated in April on one tab and 9079 on the other tab, but no logo on the booster front. So don't know if this is correct. Thanks for your input...
