Make sure your indicator is not running out of travel.
And is in contact with bore the whole 360 degrees.
Also make sure any parts of the magnetic base are
not rubbing on the bell housing.

Mild Modifications / Re: Engine mod - thoughts?

Build engine to 1969 Corvette L46 specs. 350 HP, cast iron intake and Q-jet carb.
Premium gas would be a must with 11 to 1 compression. L46 is also a/c friendly.

Originality / Coil Spring Confused
« on: January 31, 2018, 01:45:39 AM »
I'm installing a big block in my 68rs. Not sure if I installed correct front springs. I've referenced the 69 chart.

http://www.camaros.org/images/pages/chassis/69_spring_chart.pdf

I did the math just like the example. Came up with the same springs "HA".

But why does the 396 coupe listing start off with EY, YH because the lightest weight 396 is adding more than

133lbs?     I'm I missing something?

Originality / Re: YS Coil Springs
« on: January 28, 2018, 02:01:36 AM »
Awesome chart. I’m seeing YS springs as part of F41.
My 68 has speedo piercing for Saginaw transmission
So it could have come with Base 327 or L30?
The man I purchased car from did say he stripped
The 12 bolt rear end.

Originality / YS Coil Springs
« on: January 28, 2018, 12:56:40 AM »
I replaced the front springs on my 68 rs today.
Installed HA. The code on the old springs is YS.
I couldn’t find any info on them. Is this the
correct code for base 327 and manual transmission?
I believe this car was a base 327 and manual trans
from the factory. Thanks in advance.
