Restoration / Re: 67 4 speed reverse switch
« on: December 20, 2015, 03:07:52 AM »
Here is a picture of mine.  It's a Saginaw tranny.  I'm having trouble with the shift rod rubbing the side of the switch when i use reverse and shorting out.   Apparently there is another set up that mounts a bracket on two bottom bolts of the cover and uses a short rod that attaches to the reverse linkage.

« on: July 12, 2015, 11:33:17 AM »
anyone know where to find dimensions of original front coil spring dimensions?

Im interested in switching over to a hotchkins set up with 2in drop, but need to know
what I'm dropping...
I currently have cheap aftermarket springs that have been chopped and want to get
back to a reasonable lift with 15in Cragers.

« on: June 17, 2015, 01:22:34 AM »
i installed a couple of reproduction ss gas caps on my 67 but can't get them to align straight.  Anyone ran into this problem?  The SS is tilted about 10 degrees  to left
Bought them from classic ind.  guess it's foreign made junk

General Discussion / Re: camaro nationals or carlisle?
« on: May 28, 2015, 07:07:09 PM »
I attended the Spring nationals and will also go to the GM nationals at Carlisle the end of June.  There is usually lots of parts vendors - kinda flee market atmosphere.  Lots of fun.  I'm not familiar with Camaro nationals.

General Discussion / Re: 67 door lock stuck
« on: May 15, 2015, 07:37:48 PM »
One thing i did notice, the metal plate that attaches to the end of the lock cylindar and connects to the rod that moves up and down has about 10 degrees of flex.  So when you turn the lock cylindar using the key, the cylindar rotates about 10 degrees before the interior rod moves up or down.  Just wondering if that is normal?

Any ideas?

I want to go with 15 crager ss on my 67 with front disc, probably x 6 front and 7 or 8 in rear
Also plan to go with old school goodyear RWL bias ply
Any ideas on wheel offset and tire series F vs G, 60 vs 70 series?

« on: January 26, 2015, 02:20:03 AM »
The AIM shows location of 2 trunk decals.  One is the jack the other is labeled a caution decal that appears to be the differential.  The only aftermarket diff decals I've found are for position rear ends. We're there also decal for non posi?

Anyone know which color is correct?
