Would it by chance be listed with a pic in the assembly manual?

Indigo,
The balance of the engine number you gave is the partial vin for the car the engine came out of. If your vin ends in N224653, then this is the original engine for your car.....unless it was red-stamped

Originality / Decker Chevrolet, Defiance OH
« on: April 24, 2019, 09:39:54 PM »
Looking for zone and code for Decker Chevrolet, Defiance, OH. NCRS listing shows zone 44 no dealer code. Looks like they turned into Beckman Chev and I have the zone and code for them, maybe later Estle Chev-Cad. Decker moved from Sherwood to Defiance Ohio in 65. I have address and phone from 66 just need zone and code.

Thanks,
Paul

Perhaps contact your current or old insurance company and they may help you track down the vin.  Paul

On the caution sticker, same thing happened with me at the Chevrolet Nationals with a beautifully restored Chevelle inside one of the buildings where you have to be invited. Would not hear anything about it not being corrrect for a chevrolet. I guess it doesn’t help much when the likes of the most popular on-line chevrolet retailers advertise it as correct for various chevrolet models:

And plenty more:

Another FORD caution fan sticker on a chevrolet. Wish the chevrolet Retailers would stop advertising these as a Chevrolet product. Can’t go to a single car show without seeing them prominently displayed on Chevrolets.......
