Every one of those vids I've seen he rarely releases the owner's name or the exact location other than the state.  Which leads me to believe they aren't.  But you never know.

I do not think the original shock absorbers have any effect on the resting height of the car

You are absolutely correct, unless it's the incorrect shock for the car ... which might cause an issue...
.. and the english language is what most of us *try* to use... :)
Well that can open up a whole another can of worms.  I assumed this just happened and you knowing the car.
Since you just got it, have you tried going back to the previous seller and asked them about it ?  And was it noticed at time of buying ?
I agree if the frame was twisted that much you'd see some of your other panel alignments off, specially the doors.  How do they look?

Yes, the shock or shock area would be the first thing I'd address.
Is this problem something new that just occurred?

Have you looked inside your trunk ?  The rear shock hasn't ripped thru the shock tower has it ?  That's about the only thing I can think of that would let the body drop while the frame remained the same distance.

if you want ones that are correct, heavy with the cording in them, you have to make them yourself.
The rubber is available... from restoration supply.

ordered set from Heartbeat to someone who was advertising correct thickness and bingo, they had the thickness and stringer look.
Chick, am I understanding you correctly that you ordered a set from HBC and was satisfied ?

General Discussion / Re: 69 Convertable inner front fenders

Sorry to disappoint you William, but I ordered this car new, and I have not removed the front shakers.
I have had this car since it came in to the dealer ( McQueen Chevrolet in Owensville, MO ) in summer of '69.
So please don't make statements you know nothing about!
Randy

Sorry I refuse to believe that car went through the manufacturing process and they were "overlooked".

William does know what he's talking about.  All convert's had 4 shakers (one in each corner) regardless of engine size.

Freddie exactly how are they not fitting ?  Are you positioning them correctly,  there should be no interference with the inner fender.  They are hidden in the front corners behind the headlights.

Originality / Re: Searching for the "story"
« on: April 06, 2018, 03:45:19 AM »
No harm bheston,  I did the same when I purchased mine a few years ago.  I received a call from my original owner after 3 weeks of emailing him.  Come to find out that he was in the mountains out west and no way of checking his email.  So hang in there..heck I'd try again after a few.  Never know, may have went to spam or accidentally deleted.

I'm currently waiting for the possible second owner and the last of four to contact me.  I'm 99.9% sure I've located him after 2 years of brief searching.  Up until last week I had been searching for a girls name with no luck.  So I took another approach and may have hit jack pot !!   ;D

Story to come if I'm correct  :)

9N635852 sold for $24,100.00 3/26/18

An Arizona car that seems to have stayed in the state it's entire life.  A huge plus, at 24K seems to be about right.

Paypal:
When I sing into paypal on my personal or business account, on the left side under the paypal balance are 2 options; add money or transfer to your bank. Quite often I transfer money out of paypal back to my bank account......

Paul
x2, and good to hear it was resolved. Btw what was the sellers rating?
