It was on Racingjunk for a long time.  Never a price.  One of my pet peeves.   That prequalifies potential buyers.

Ok got a little mixed up.  First car we looked at was the 07A Rough 6 cylinder car.   The car he bought is an 09E.   Here is a pic of the Trim Tag, my mistake, but the numbers are a little off.  I was not implying it was a pilot car.   Just that first month numbers are not set in stone.

Nope, I could see 09A.  I just read about the Pilot cars were built in late May and early June but tagged as September cars

The trim tag was hard to read.   We are picking it up Wednesday.  Will get the trim tag cleaned off to read it better.  We were told that an alarm horn was screwed to the trim tag.  So there is one hole in it.   I went with a young friend and looked at two cars.   The first one was bad and overpriced for a 6 cylinder.   I POd the owner.   I was willing to explain issues the car had but he did not care.  This convertible was a well kept, honest car.  Painted blue in 1988, changed from butternut yellow.   My friend will most likely join here so I will let him post pics after the car is in its new home.   Someone that is a Camaro restorer from Dover Delaware looked at it right before we got there.   Car really only needs body and paint work.  It is in better condition now then when we bought my 67 convertible in 1985

There are paintless dent repair tools now.   The older metal is thicker, but patience can pay off in the end

Vin is 124677N112080.   Strange because above link says they built 11323 cars in September of 67.

When was 67 production started.   I looked at a 09A 67 Convertible today.   It is an early car.   The frame has no bumper holes in it,  It is a 327 powerglide, deluxe interior, power steering, power top

To me special paint adds 10 percent price to the price.  That is what it amounted to on the 67 Plum Mist GTO convertible that the Volo Museum boght from us.  They had it appraised at 60k and sold it at their  "no haggle price "   of 55k in 23 days after purchasing it from us at Carlisle  that was  15 years ago

Sorry, but the scrutiny comes from the current owners greed.   The color does not make it worth $100,000 to $125,000 more than other REAL 1969 Z28's.   They made 20,302, that is not a small rare number.   I bought a 68 Z28 to be different, it is not worth as much, but it is not like all the rest.   We have a 65 GTO Iris Mist convertible, they made 20, 3x2 stick car, documented.   Still do not think it is a 100k car.  Also have a 64 GTO convertible 3x2 stick car also documented, just under 6,600 made.  Still not a 110k car.   So why do these guys think a REAL acknowledged 69 Z28 is worth that much?    That is the biggest problem with this REAL car.   My earlier comment is because this same car keeps popping up at auctions and has received all this internet chat.   The point is that there is a reason it is not bringing big bids or selling

I do not like when people do not paint the trim tag with the firewall.   It looks out of place.   but can not see enough to make out the numbers
