I don't have any personal experience with this company, but they have a great reputation in the Corvette hobby.

I like Seafoam.  Seems to keep the gas fresh.

Is it running on like dieseling, or running like normal?  If running normally, it could be your ignition switch.  Dieseling could be a timing issue.

And who's ever heard of dressing an X33 Z28 as an SS?

Maintenance / Re: Wiring Connections at Firewall Behind Fuse Panel

Had the same issue with my '67 Corvette.  Electrical items had slowly stopped working-radio, interior lights, tail lights.  Took the fuse panel out and found corrosion causing extra resistance.  Cleaned the blade contacts off and everything started working.

Could be a rounded camshaft lobe.  I think it's worth taking it apart.

This stamp looks like a mess to me.  Is it legit?

Grind outs have been discussed numerous times on various Corvette forums.  I can't remember which car it was, but there was a C2 Corvette recently on Bring A Trailer where it was discussed in the comments.  The Seller posted a weird letter from an alleged assembly line employee at the time talking about factory grind outs and how a different type of grinder was used on small blocks vs. big blocks.  Can't find the correct auction but will post the letter if I locate it.

General Discussion / Fuel Delivery
« on: October 07, 2023, 10:43:48 AM »
I understand that Chevy always wanted the Corvette to have the highest horsepower ratings when compared to their other vehicles, and that Corvette was considered to be a sports car.  I find it interesting that Chevy was using somewhat "exotic" fuel injection and multi carb set ups in Corvettes in the 50's and 60's. Fuel injection in the Corvettes stopped in 1965 when big blocks started, and Chevy started using tri power carbs in the higher horsepower big blocks from '67 to '69.  Is horsepower rating the only reason that first gen Camaros were never factory delivered with some type of multi carb system?
