General Discussion / 1969 Camaro Protect-O-Plate with JL8
« on: August 23, 2020, 03:40:53 PM »
Just out of curiosity, if a 1969 Camaro came from the factory with JL8 option, what would be the designator on the Protect-O-Plate in location J (Disc Brake Code)?

General Discussion / Endura Bumper Jacking Instructions
« on: May 23, 2016, 08:19:40 PM »
Is the jacking instruction decal in the trunk for a 1969 Coupe the SAME one used for the regular wheel (#3949506), SS wheel (#3949515) or Space Saver wheel (#3949508) when the presence of the Endura Bumper (VE3) option exists?  Or are there different jacking instruction decal(s) for 1969 Endura Bumper Coupes based on the type of wheels on the car?

Where can I find for my 1969 Z28, the wiring diagram(s) for the center console (D55) and instrument cluster (U17)? I have the 1969 AIM and the Fisher Body Service Manual, but do not seem to be able to locate those wiring diagrams in those manuals. I am have NO lights for the console gauges and for the rear of console light. All of the fuses look okay, but I am not even sure which fuse might be applicable. All dash gauges / idiot lights work okay.

General Discussion / Rally Wheels (ZJ9) & Z11's
« on: April 28, 2016, 06:25:18 PM »
Did ALL Z11's (either the Z11's participating in the 1969 Indy 500 event or later replicas) only come from the factory with 15 inch Rally Wheels? Why I ask is that I am looking at a Z11 and it and several others that I have seen / looked at have 14 inch Rally Wheels.

General Discussion / 1969 Z28 wide stripes color
« on: March 16, 2016, 10:05:36 PM »

Does anyone have a matrix of what color the 1969 Z28 wide hood / trunk / spoiler stripes should be based on the color code of the car? Does with or without a vinyl top matter to that matrix?

General Discussion / RS windshield / headlight hose routing at the firewall
« on: December 09, 2015, 04:06:38 PM »
Does anyone have a JPEG picture of what an original '69 RS windshield / headlight hoses routing looks like at the wiper & washer motor location. I am in the process of replacing all of the hoses in this system and have completed everything from the firewall to & through the headlight nozzles. I am not sure I believe the way I find the current hose routing at the firewall to be correct. I can explain how I find my current hose routing if that will help.

General Discussion / Replace headlight washer nozzles
« on: November 29, 2015, 04:08:45 PM »
Need to replace my RS headlight washer nozzles and hoses. Respectively, they are clogged and cracked. It "looks" like the best way to get to the outer nozzles for replacement is to remove the grille. YES or NO? Doing so, I can get a wrench in there to remove the nozzles nut and washer.  In order to remove the grille it looks like I remove my Endura bumper to get to the 4 bolts holding the grille in place or what?

General Discussion / Wittek Tower Hose clamps
« on: August 28, 2015, 10:00:20 PM »
What is the best way to install Wittek tower hose clamps on radiator and heater hoses to prevent leaking under pressure?  I have read and seen you tube videos on various methods from holding the tower portion with pliers while tightening the bolt . . . to simply just tighening the bolt.

General Discussion / Front Bumper Guards
« on: July 03, 2015, 03:27:00 PM »
If you ordered the Endura front bumper option (VE3) for your 1969 Camaro back then, could you/they also have gotten / ordered Front Bumper Guards option (V31)?  Does it make sense that someone would have ordered V32 for a VE3 optioned Camaro?

General Discussion / '69 Camaro buzzer sounding
« on: May 30, 2015, 04:47:22 PM »
I have a '69 Camaro Z28 RS, with the key NOT IN the ignition switch, when I open the door the buzzer sounds.  This just started a few weeks ago.  Thoughts on the cause?

General Discussion / '69 Camaro Rear Seat
« on: May 19, 2015, 06:48:06 PM »
Is the '69 Camaro Coupe rear seat, both bottom and back, narrower with the Deluxe Interior Panels than with the Standard Interior Panels?  Or is there only one rear seat bottom and back regardless of the interior panels installed for a Coupe?

Decoding/Numbers / Ignition Coils
« on: January 24, 2014, 11:04:03 PM »
Does anyone know where in the CRG material I can find a list of the GM P/N for 1969 ignition coils or do you have a complete list of 1969 ignition coil for each Camaro engine?  I am trying to verify if my '270 is correct for my 1969 Z.
