I think the only difference from a factory installed one to the over the counter service replacement one is the vent tube shape-factory ones have the 90 degree bend while the service replacement ones have the two 45 degree shape

My buddy had a nice mid 80's blazer all done up that he drove on nice /dry days in the winter as well as all summer-he and his family were ice skating at a local outdoor rink when he saw his truck being driven away.Hard to chase someone on skates-they found it 3 days later all burnt!

I know most came with clear knobs and are expensive to find NOS  but what would a set of NOS black knob handles fit and be worth? Thanks in advance!

Is there any way to tell an original or gm piece from a reproduction-was at a friends house and he had a cowl induction throttle arm-he wasn't sure if it was a reproduction or not-the only stamping I saw was  "C" stamped on it-whats a gm one worth? Thanks in advance!

Originality / "W" stamped on the cowl induction flange
« on: August 19, 2014, 06:37:03 PM »
I replaced the 69Z28 cowl induction flange on my chevelle with a NOS correct notch/cut off type correct for chevelles-the camaro one I have had for many years it has a "W" stamped on it -I take it it is a manufactures stamp-any idea who made these. Only idea I had many Winters-but I know they were a foundry-are these camaro flanges worth any more than the chevelle ones? Thanks in advance!

Thanks-wonder what it is off of-it had the correct camaro flange with th "W" stamped on it-and seems to be the same diameter as a cowl air cleaner-and a flat bottom!

I went to look at some bumoers for my sons 67RS.Started talking with the guy and he said he had a cowl induction air cleaner that he took off a 69 Camaro 30 years ago. It apperars to be a flat bottom one but when I flipped it over there was no vent tube? The snout looked like a Gm one-maybe it was for something else. Sorry my camera died so no pictures. May go back though. Thanks in advance for all your inut!
