I'm sure we have since I attended most of the Carlisle and Jefferson car show and swap meets I have been working on Camaros since '78 in High School in Wisconsin and move to New Mexico in '90 and to a break from Camaros while starting a new business but am back in the game with 3 Camaros and probably be getting more to restore and have fun with, are you still in Wisconsin and involved with the car seen up there?

Thanks for letting me know the sad news, I just read the threads on the Super Car Registry about Doug and I see many others felt the same I did about him, he had a passion for Camaros like myself, he was quite a bit older than me but still treated me the a friend and  allowed me to tour the old warehouse where I felt like a kid in a candy store every time I could afford to buy parts for the many $600.00 Camaros I had owned at the time that had the rash of Wisconsin winters.
Very Sad to hear!

Yes, I have used bluing compound past which is readily available at gun shops and looks very close to the heat treated look, you can simply wipe it on and re-apply multiple times to darken it more if necessary and it is a fair rust preventative, the Corvette restorer's use it frequently .

Thanks for the help, but when I called Paragon to find out the length they said it is 3.5" long, so I am still on the hunt , I'm not sure why the repros are longer than the OE versions or why I cannot seem to find the correct one.

Does anyone know the correct stud length for a 396 with Q-Jet carb open air cleaner(L-34)? I had ordered one through HBC, the one they reference as correct and it was way to long, any one know where to find the correct one? I'm at the 11th hour of restoring my '68 .

Speaking of wall décor, I saw the full scale revel model display, I think I'll build one to sit next to my "69

I have an original fiberglass hood that I bought in the early 80's and now just getting started to build my Z but the hood had just the prop rod and no hood pin set with it, does anyone know where I can find a period correct hood pin set?

I have used Lectric Limited for my '68 and the look very close to the original, not all of the connectors are spot on , but very close to design and color, they specialize in corvette harnesses but have a great selection of not only harnesses but other electric components for Camaros too.

A word of warning! regarding my storage containers, I used 48' trailers to store eight cars and numerous parts and thought it was a great idea to use them until I could eventually build my new garage, well that was approximately seven years ago and when I finally transferred the cars I found pretty bad oxidation from  moisture that formed in these containers through condensation which forms on the ceilings of these things due to no ventilation.  So I have cars that were show winners at one time with rust in the engine compartments, etc. there a mess! I learned the hard way and do NOT recommend any long term storage in those containers. P.S. I live in New Mexico where the climate is very dry and it made no difference condensation will happen when there is no vents, just like a building.
