General Discussion / Re: My New '68 Camaro Z/28 Butternut Yellow
« on: October 21, 2014, 05:36:36 PM »
i work in a print shop, im going to have a board done similar to Danny`s. i figure the cost of ink is something like 50 cents to a dollar. we have several substrates to chose from. im planning on 1/4" plexiglass for mine. i might be able to do freebies for anybody interested but you would have to send a file with all the info. that way i can just send the complete file to the digital printer and bingo !!! we have thin aluminum sheets, 1/4" plastic, 3/16" paper/foam artist board and many more types to chose from. still planning on the layout for mine. oh, the ink is UV so should last many years even if exposed to the sun. we also have digital laser cutters and routers so the edges can be rounded or square with no burrs or rough edges.

well i bought my car from the 2nd owner in `96 (he got it in `70 for a grad present) and i never had a spare mounted in the car yet but will asap. i have a full spare set of YH wheels and will make sure the hook is long enough. i hope it is right or i will be scrounging the junkyards for one. what year Z ?

check your hold down nut too Gary, see if it was plated like mine. the more i look at the pic of my J hook it looks like maybe it was phosphate plated maybe ?

ok, i resized a few pics Tim, also send you a pm. im not sure if the J hook was ever plated or had a finish. the bolt was for sure, shiny om back side but worn and rusted off the front side

Tim, Roy, that would be all the more reason to keep the service going, every 50.00 back to the organization is 50.00 more in the kitty. there must be a few people that are still waiting for their info. Roy must have been the one and only person doing all this research if it all of a sudden stops ? Thank you Roy for all you did for this group and for the corvette owners too.
