Follow Up: I guess the part ("C") above is technically called a "retainer"; thanks. How did it come from the factory? Anybody help. Larry

First post for me. Have a AACA Top Senior (Jerry MacNeish) certified 1969 Camaro Z28.
Here is my question: Does the throttle rod have anything more then that "C" type washer/nut
(not sure what you call them) on the shaft that attaches to the carb? It seems to have a
lot a play in it. Should there be a washer in there to take some of the play out?
