Originality / Brake/Fuel Line Clip
« on: June 07, 2013, 01:52:35 AM »
I posted this on the team Camaro website but didn't get a lot of response. Perhaps someone here knows the answer to my question.

Everyone seems to sell the '67-'68 brake/fuel clip (p/n 3881339) that is red in color. I've seen on some of the so called "restored" cars that this clip is phosphate. Did this clip come from the factory with the red color or was it phosphated?

Thanks,

Bob

Decoding/Numbers / Subframe Stamping and Inspection Mark
« on: May 27, 2013, 05:10:04 PM »
I'm into the subframe part of my 68 SS restoration and found the stamped numbers shown in the image on the drivers side of the subframe. The car is a 01D build so could the upside down "10" indicate that the subframe was built in October?

Also, I found what appears to be a yellow inspection mark on the front crossrail of the subframe. Has anyone else seen an inspection mark there?

Thanks,

Bob
