Decoding/Numbers / Date code of part boxes
« on: July 27, 2014, 01:07:48 PM »
Hi

On NOS boxes, I notice that there is always a date code (I think). We got the part number, the groupe number and the date code. Example, I found NOS door handle for my 1969 Camaro and the box we has inscriptions:
75C9
3064224
Gr. 10.527

Is 75C9 a date code?

Hi

For the 1969 SS L48 M20 with the code PS front and UN rear. What are the part numbers?  Am I right if I say  3192477 for the front and 3192851 for the rear?

Thanks

Your car looks great.

For my information did you replace the rear springs and shock absorbers on your SS 69. If yes what were your part numbers and codes.

Thanks

Its was my mistake to order P1132 because these are standard. I know my convertible SS was delivered with a sport suspension (what does this mean?). I should have ordered P2105  HD.

I hesitate to put Delco Pleasurizer shocks (P2105 or P1123) on my car because these don't have the spiral look as the originals. I really want the car the most original possible. The original color was gray.

Your thoughts?

Were can we get rear spiral dated shock absorbers (oil filled) closest to the originals (UN for manual transmissions [3192851])?

Restoration / NOS Rear shock absorber P1132
« on: July 05, 2014, 02:09:25 AM »
HI all.

I just purchased 2 NOS rear shock absorbers P1132 for my multileaf suspension 1969 Camaro SS. On the shock I received the part number is 3198132  P1132.  However in my Master Parts Catalogue it states 3192968 for my car (for a P1132 shock absorber).  Has the product number changed with time? I was told GM would change the parts number over time.  Date code is 9E 68.

Is this shock for my car?

Hi Everyone,

I am getting new leaf springs for my 1969 Camaro SS Convertible. I want the closest to the originals. IS Eaton Detroit Spring Inc a good choice? DO you have other suppliers to suggest?

I got 5 leafs ( standard, GM Indentification BF)

Thanks

I am replacing my side marker Bezel on my 1969 Camaro SS. I am wondering if the Pal-nut self-threading nuts were all with a sealant and what size? Are they 3/16 in size? My bezels are NOS. Does GM still sell these Pal-nuts?

Thanks

Hi Everyone,

Got a 1969 Camaro SS convertible Multi-leaf springs that is sagging. Where should I get my leafs? Do I go for Show Correct Leafs or just simple replacements?

Thanks

Thanks Steve

Ed and Troy did confirm me that they think my mirror is a NOS. But it you have time, it will be nice to see your pics - casting number and mirror DMI.

Take Care
