Apparently we make about 100 a month in our plant in Mexicali. I am sure some of them are for other suppliers. If you can feel the wiper marks with a finger nail you can distort the windshield badly trying to polish them out. If smooth to the touch be careful go slow and don't leave the polisher in one spot. Heat is the enemy.

Perhaps Kurt can help with this one. There are some anomalies in rear ends. I see in 67 and 68 PC"s were 3:31 non posi 12 bolts    And for 69 it was a 2:56 posi 10 bolt.

Ah the La built cars had one slapped on top of the gas tank.  Careful with it until some experts chime in about it.

The Docs shown are copies or forged. The ones shown are the old style before forging them became common. Original old style came with a personal letter From George Zaporo with to the requester with his name included also. The GM logo was blue with a red line around with a red maple leaf. It is obvious from the format how easy it would be to add options.
My docs are from a previous owner from 2004.  I have not seen the new ones but they come with security features that make them extremely difficult to forge. If you are looking at a car with " Canadian Documents" It would be well worth the phone call to GM Canada Vintage Vehicle Services to check if they are real.

Is it possible this is a scam ! The sellers language usage just seems that tad bit off to make we wonder . I know people have seen it but the descriptions in English just seem funny !

For the big answer you can google broach marks. The short answer is an engine plant doing thousands of blocks a day had MASSIVE milling-grinding machines. leaving specific marks that your local machine shop can not duplicate with their little machines. Re-stampers try and duplicate but the experts can still tell the difference. I just cannot tell you how they would know the difference.

Back in the day we pretty much supplied Oshawa car and truck plants in Ontario. Less than a 2 hour drive and Ste Therese in Quebec about 4 hours. Now we don't have much of that with Oshawa shutting down and Ste Therese gone. 7 car plants in Ontario all within 2 hours and we only have 2% of the business. Gee we even ship to Brazil ! Honda Allliston car and van plants are only 30 miles away and we have none of it. Apparently a Chinese company got the Civic contract and are building a glass plant in OHIO.
Chinese company has bought a former GM plant in Dayton Ohio. They have also bought a float plant. They will have the capacity to produce 3 million windshields a year with 800 workers !

Ok this should be fun !!! Sent the pics to the glass GURU in our plant who passed them onto who he considers the most knowledgeable glass guy around with 49 yep 49 years experience at Rossford and other plants. He says the windshields were DEFINATLY  REPLACED.  Shat R Proof never supplied 1 CAMARO OEM windshield for GM.

And lets add heated wipers and satellite antennae (onstar) to the mix of 11 and still the occasional windshield gets in the wrong rack (wrist slap BAD BAD Collingwood PILKINTON)
So what we need is a few more 02D built cars with original march backlites to confirm if this may have happened. If it turns out there is only one then I would say doubtful !
