Pretty car ( don't know what's under the paint)  Seems with the price of resto mods---if your just honest ,you could probably get an honest price. And not cheap. Just my thoughts.

Darrell is also very competent-Red Gorilla Restorations. Anyway, the only two people I trust with my valuable OE stuff.

With no current flowing your "0" is 25amps, sort of understand ? you would zero a multimeter. The members running these gauges will have to give input as far as either being able to set the gauge or replacing.

Car starts and runs so appears battery  and charging system ok. Probably just a faulty gauge--If it's your OE I'd contact someone like Jerry at CHP and inquire about restoring.

Any difference in application concerning air shocks with regards to multi leaf vs. mono leaf ?  Delco's ? Service replacements. Would be a nice touch for Day 2

Like I stated in another post " the perfect summer cruiser" could follow Cruising Time's schedule with no concern of distance, or FUEL. I'd drive the tires off of it !

sorry--single wire referring to internally regulated alternator thereby eliminating external voltage regulator.

That is what I'm doing--and I got 20 birthdays on you --been with the car 38 years this spring. If opinions didn't vary ,we'd still all be driving Model T's---black. Your car looks great BTY.

Check the 6 cylinder section; there's a guy doing/did a beautiful restoration of one.

Good stuff here. Going back to the original set up(voltage regulator vs. single wire) simply because I plan on having the car judged Day 2. I am fortunate enough to be able to retain my harness which is in good shape, including terminal blocks--no corrosion in the fire wall junction.

These posts have been helpful in refreshing my memory in the old system.

All started with a FFA project and "Grandpa" putting an electrode holder in his hand to start fabricating some rear shock mounts. Senior year was doing major chassis modifications on a street rod in school . Really quality craftsmanship ,caught a lot of people's eyes.

You know Bullitt, don't overlook Vocational training while having them take college prep courses. Everything is 2 year post HS anyway. He was involved in SKILLS competition, wonderful! For all trades, his was welding. Ended up going to Kansas city for Nationals ,placed 5th overall ,#1 TIG. Against every state including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Prizes, scholarships--wonderful program. sort of off the tread ,sorry Red Gorilla !
