General Discussion / Very nice Red on Red 69Z on Ebay
« on: October 20, 2014, 02:02:26 AM »
Wow, this one sure seems to be a first class, documented, restored car. What is something like this one worth?  He sure seems confident that it is a very rare 1 of 38 produced in this color combo but I notice Jerry doesn't mention that. If I am reading the POP correctly it looks like it had a M21 originally. Beautiful car!  Maybe a CRG members car?

General Discussion / Old Ebay auction link
« on: October 01, 2014, 02:22:41 AM »
Someone posted a link a few months ago on one of the treads here that would let you look back several years at old Ebay auction results. I have looked and looked for that thread and link but just can't find it. Anyone have that link?
Please and thank you!

Decoding/Numbers / 1111480 Distributor Stamp
« on: June 30, 2014, 06:47:39 PM »
A friend of mine needs a correct 480 distributor for his car and is looking at buying this one. I say a restamp. The area around the critical numbers look filed. I hate to see him get taken. What do you guys think?
Thanks!

« on: June 09, 2014, 01:43:15 PM »
I thought of you Bullitt (Austin) when I saw this one. Not sure its 100K nice but I will admit it sure looks good!!
I see a few things wrong and for that money and I would have liked to seen documentation. But they sure make it look good in those pictures.

General Discussion / July 1969 Norwood shutdown
« on: May 25, 2014, 08:26:24 PM »
I read on a couple of old forums where it was mentioned that there was a 2 or 3 week shutdown in July of 69. My 07A Z/28 came back from the NCRS with a July 10th build date but my VIN is towards the end of the July production numbers. I'm hoping that William, John Z or Kurt can confirm that the shutdown would have been the LAST 2 or 3 weeks of that month? I'm assuming that all of the July cars were built by the middle of the month and production didn't start up again until August. That would make sense and coincide with the later VIN but earlier in the month build. I know July was one of the lowest production months for Camaro's at the Norwood plant with only 5111 built.
Thanks!

A CRG members car here??  Wish there were more pictures, drive train numbers and cowl tag info.
I guess more to come.

"NOTE THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION STAMPS DIFFER IN APPEARANCE. DO NOT THINK THAT THE TRANS IS A RESTAMP. THERE ARE MANY DOCUMENTED CASES OF THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION  BEING STAMPED WITH DIFFERENT TOOLS. CHECK WITH THE CRG AND YOU WILL SEE I AM CORRECT.THESE ARE THE ORIGINAL BORN WITH ENGINE AND TRANS. I WILL BE POSTING MORE PHOTOS."

General Discussion / 69 Z/11 L78 Pace Car "Unrestored survivor"
« on: April 27, 2014, 09:43:50 PM »
Is that a 11N638372 VIN stamp on the block??  "born with drive-train including L78 396 375hp engine"
"Unrestored - Survivor 1969 L78 396 375hp Z11 Pace Car. Numbers matching and documented with original dealer order invoice, complete owner history and correspondence with the original owner".
Also several parts have very early dates for an 05A car.  January dated exhaust manifolds, posi rear etc..??

General Discussion / This is a good looking car!
« on: April 09, 2014, 04:11:17 AM »
Would be curious as to what you guys see (if anything) that was done incorrect with this restoration.Tag and stampings look original?? Especially the VIN stamp near the oil filter? A lot of repop parts on it?
Nice looking car!  VIN 124379N613141
Just noticed the X33 trim on it.

General Discussion / A Craigslist 69 Z??
« on: April 09, 2014, 01:15:50 AM »

They don't show any proof but seems like a decent price even if its a clone.
Unless its a scam.
Thought maybe someone down in that area looking for a 69 "Z" might want to check it out.

General Discussion / Cool old 69 Z/28 commercial
« on: March 12, 2014, 11:35:39 PM »

I stumbled across this today and thought it was neat. I searched old posts to make sure it wasn't a repeat and didn't come up with anything.
Of course its just another one of those darn Orange cars like some of us here are burdened with owning  ;)
