69  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: How far into 1970 did GM produce 69 Z/28 YH rally wheels on: May 20, 2014, 09:21:30 AM
The long 69 production had more to do with the delay of the 1970 Camaro's roll out. They had a  problem with the dies for the quarter panels ,they were splitting and wrinkling the panels and the engineers had to completely redesign the dies for the "70" camaro.
70  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Dealer versus Customer Order on: May 17, 2014, 07:27:00 PM
I special ordered a 1999 WS6 Trans Am in March of 1999. In July of "99" they told me they would not build it as a 1999 and had to reorder it as a 2000. In October they told me it was being built, the car arrived on the 21st of November 1999. I went through a broker in Palm Springs, I live in Washington State. That is a long time to wait but the price was right and not many WS6's at my local  dealer, all sold plus they marked them up about 3K over sticker.

Your right on the money James, we are asking them for things they could care less about. We all need to build relationships first and work from there. As in all relationships it takes time. You need to get them to want to help you with your quest.

Chick are the bumper guards rare, I've never seen them on that year Nova? If that car was in black and white would look like back in the day.
