I am in the market to buy a Camaro and it seems that 90% of all the cars for sale have questionable markings. How can I look at a DZ number or cowl tag and know if its real or not?

Could anyone recommend someone to inspect a 68 z-28?

I already called:

Eric from http://www.vintagemusclecarparts.com/  - He doesnt do inspections

http://www.mershons.com/ - they do not do inspections either.

called Jerry MacNeish - hes out of town until Monday.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Might be helpful sapple89 to place the ebay link.... No pics of any important #'s or expensive to replace original parts if missing. Would for sure have to see the carr in person to really have a worth value. Way too many unanswered questions IMHO.
Welcome aboard sapple89 for joining both here and team camaro!

thanks, I wasnt sure if I could post the link or not.

Anyhoot, Im looking for a 68-69 rs thats numbers matching. Id like to drive around for a few months before i do a full restoration.
