Hey Jon, do you have any other pictures of him racing? That's a neat car, looks very clean.

Can someone more tech saavy than me post some of these engine pics?   https://revslib.stanford.edu/catalog?f%5Bpub_year_isim%5D%5B%5D=1969&page=2&q=trans+am&utf8=%E2%9C%93
Normally I could help ya, but the pictures are not "hosted" the same way as they are on other sites, and I cannot figure out how to post them elsewhere.

In other words, you're out of luck (for now). Sad

Thank you very much, Jon.

Also, there appears not to be any information regarding costs for the pre-reunion. Any idea on what I need to do to attend?

In Monterey, there will be some track time at the PreReunion the weekend prior

Can I get some more info on this statement? Such as what and where this is going on, what time, and most importantly, what do I have to do to be able to see this.

Thank you

Holy grail! He got a gorgeous shot of the Gray Ghost, and the shot of the Javelin looks like it was taken YESTERDAY!:

ALso, do you think there will be any T/A related racing on Sunday at Sonoma? If I make it at all, I'd only be for sunday, or late on Saturday and Sunday.

Can you get up-close to the cars at Sonoma, or do you have to have some VIP type thing to talk to the teams and see cars?

How about the same question for Monterey?

I don't want to go through the trouble only to realize I have to keep 50ft of distance at all times.  hahaha

I'm voting for this not because I know what I'm talking about, but rather because he's in one of my most favorite T/A cars. In fact, I don't even know if it was Trans Am or some other class.

Milt Minter; driving the successor to the Gray Ghost Tempest seen up top and built by Herb Adams Racing Associates, it was the "last hurrah" for Pontiacs 303 RAV/Super Duty program, and he was part of it. This car famously/infamously holds the record for the best finish Pontiac ever achieved in a series it made such a timeless name from.

(I hope I got all of my facts strait)

As if I didn't feel inadequate enough to build a road racing Camaro before, now I really feel inadequate.  Undecided

Thank you very much Jon. Grin

Absolute favorite line of the article: "It was Mark the good guy vs. Parnelli the spoiler, the hired gun — tough, mean, glowering, a man who wouldn’t hesitate to put you off the road"

Fantastic article, Jon. Always high quality research with you.

I too was always perplexed by this as well, thank you very much Rob for asking the question.
