Here's a '69 Z, this is at Lions Drag Strip, logo on the side says "Beach City Chevrolet" where they in Long Beach,

California ? sponsored some funny cars ? Sorry for the size found this image years ago on Worthpoint, came across it clearing

some old files on my computer. Looks like spoiler delete car ?

'69 RS Z/28,interesting what's been done with the stripes ! no front bumper, grill surround blacked out, day 2 mods, could be '80s.

Here's a '69 Z at the press launch for '69 models at the GM proving grounds. I'd posted this in another thread here also in

reference to stripes carrying onto the deck lid on cars with spoilers.

Would this be a pilot car ?

35
One more and then I'll go away... ;)   again just for reference, it's most likely a pilot job, press launch at GM proving grounds, looks

like the stripes continue onto the trunk lid ?

36
Just for reference, maybe no help, again know nothing about this one, if it is original paint & stripes, looks to have the script on the

 deck lid.

Looking at it again things don't line up deck lid to spoiler, so likely repaint.

37
don't know if relavent ? just to muddy the water, here's a '69 Z photo dated June '69, looks like the stripes go below the spoiler,

can any one tell what tags are on the car ? perhaps that will tell where it might have been built ?

Once again it bit of thread drift  ::)  not original T/A cars but these are cars raced in Sweden.

Hans Radefalk in the #27, '68 model, and Bo Kasby in the '67, photo 1968 Sweden.

And like in one of my posts from Europe just above # 362, , if indeed it is a '68 has vent windows, side markers and '68 grill.

Scan l-r for whole image

67 RS Camaro ( I wonder if it's a real Z ? a lot of people added the emblems) at Duke's Italian,  any one know where that might

 have been ? I would say it's the late 70's- '80s.

43
Here's another from my files, Leslie Camaro, Bridgehampton '70 with Goodyears.

I can rarely get the size right  ::) so scroll l-r for full image.

Mike, great work and research on the Chaparral Camaro and your other T/A projects !

Here's a photo I have in my files of what is labelled as Joe Leonard in the Chaparral Camaro at Donnybrooke, the car is shod with

Firestones, but interestingly there is no Firestone decal on the fender, which does appear, sometimes not,  in other images from

 other races.
