My 67 RS was in a movie in Cambodia in 1969. Have a look at my post in foreign camaros in this forum. There is a link to the movie on you tube. Quality is ordinary but you'll get the idea.

Yes, still lots of unanswered questions! Wheels are also different but pretty unlikely there were two of these in Cambodia at that time.  I think it is more likely they removed the emblems for the movie then replaced them afterwards.  There are some interior shots later in the film and seat trim etc all looks correct, but the quality is very ordinary as you've seen so difficult to be sure.  I am trying to get a better quality copy of the movie but no luck so far.
I haven't seen these type wheels on any other cars. Does anyone know if they were an option orare they just something they ound that fitted? They are similar to wheels on GM cars in Australia around that time.

Missed the question re #1 owner.  I was told the car was given to the King of Cambodia by the French government in 1967 but don't know how I'd verify this. The movie seems the best indication it was his car but unless I can get some documentation from GM France it is all circumstantial.

Trunk emblem. Not sure what this is but guess it may be the importer? Another terrible quality photo but you get the idea!

Photo of the US plate. Sorry it's a bit difficult to read. I haven't worked out what it all means yet.

Yes it does have the French tag.  I've got photos and will post shortly.  I've also managed to track down a movie the car is in which the King of Cambodia made in 1969.  The quality is bad and the movie is ordinary, but worth a quick look. If you cut and paste the following into your browser it will take you to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15JHdB0O9sM

Not far from the sign you use as your photo by the look of it.  Currently in far North Queensland, but Victoria is home.  You?

I'll get some photos of the tags next time I'm home. Dash photo attached, indicated 52,651 km but not sure if that is correct.
Not sure if the diamond ornament on the dash is original, it looks well done but may be an add-on done in Cambodia.  The story goes that the car was given to the King of Cambodia as a gift by the French government, but I haven't been able to verify this.  You'll notice also the small turned attachments on either side below the bumper.  Apparently these held the King's flags for processions and the like.
