Maybe he could explain why it was restored with two fuel gauges.

Now that is funny!

Are you using the original fan blade, and do you have a fan shroud in place?

Trans-Am Camaros / James D. Patterson, anyone remember him?

Anyone remember or have any dealings with Jim Patterson? He was Director of Club Racing in the SCCA. He was employed there between 1965 - 1971.

Sam,

GM never offered that complete setup as a kit in their parts catalog. They did have a Standard Parts Catalog that may have had those individual parts. The owner probably wanted some piece of mind and came up with that idea.

Restoration / Re: What needs yellow zinc?

Joe,
I cannot remember if your car is a 4 speed. If it is, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 4th levers on a Muncie are yellow zinc.
Nothing on the sway bar link is yellow zinc.

It appears the last two digits of the VIN, have been stamped over the P9 part of assembly stamp.

General Discussion / Resonators for '67-'69 Camaro, '68-'70 Nova
« on: July 06, 2019, 06:56:49 PM »
Does anyone own a '67 thru '69 Camaro or '68 thru '70 Nova that still has their original welded to the front exhaust pipe resonators? I need a measurement of the resonator inlet pipe length.

Email me at keepitallgm@yahoo.com

Thanks, Warren

Maintenance / Re: 1969 396-375 AC Plug
« on: June 27, 2019, 04:32:42 AM »
Made a mistake. R43 is a 302 spark plug. R43N is the correct plug for 396/375 with iron heads. R43XL is for aluminum heads.

R43 is the correct plug for iron heads. Not sure what R43XLS is, but the R43XL is used with aluminum heads. XL stands for extra long threads.
