A friend of mine drove to New Jersey last year to buy some NOS Chevelle parts. Come to find out the guy had a Cutaway '69 Camaro. VIN is N500024. Story goes, Chevrolet donated it to a school. Guess over the years it somehow was put behind a false wall. Contractors were doing work and said the measurements didn't add up. They took the wall down and found the car.

Was told the Cutaway in Australia is N500046.

Didn't you already post this question? No need to repeat a new posting. Just post a new comment in your old post and it will bring it to the top again.

Not many B/B A/C Camaro's out there. You can check an assembly manual or unfortunately disassembly will be needed.

General Discussion / YH Rally Wheel Date Needed
« on: August 21, 2020, 10:06:56 PM »
Does anyone have an 04A '69 Z/28 built in Van Nuys that has the original YH rims? I would like to know the dates of the YH rims. A Z/28 built one week before or after 04A is fine. Not interested in Norwood built Camaro's.

Thanks, Warren

I wasn't offended at all by Ed's post. Not sure what the big deal is.

I say reuse it. I reused mine on my car as it was still soft and pliable.

The "week" stamp should be on the drivers rear side corner.

Says "new" in the ad, not NOS. Should say reproduction in the crate.

The first set of repro JL8 front caliper brackets made in the late eighties, early nineties were cast. They were prone to breakage as Charley says. You need to be aware of that, so you know there are different repro brackets out there.

The '69 JL8 caliper brackets and calipers are totally different than the '67 -'68 four piston disc brake setup. The main reason is JL8 takes larger rotors.

Maintenance / Re: Spring in lower radiator hose?

Factory lower hoses had the spring. Not sure why the aftermarket hoses do not include it, unless they expected you to reuse the spring from the old hose or just so they can sell you another part.
