I would leave it alone myself, looks fine.

What you should be looking for is the correct padding that belongs under the new rear shelf cardboard.

Possibly the '69 Chevrolet Overhaul or Service Manual will tell you the procedure. Those manuals also list the specialty Kent Moore tools you may need.

I did all the possible combinations on the three VINs on VinAudit.com

124378N358435 comes back as a good VIN.

                                                                - Warren

Just looked at the last picture on the pamplet and it shows 123378N358435 as the VIN. There is a mistake somewhere.

General Discussion / Re: 1969 Z/28 RS 124379N603722 GM Corporate Car?

Price in upper right hand corner says $99,998 or $1,040 per month.

You would think for that price, they could get grill emblem placement in the correct spot.

WaltZ never elaborated on the exact info he needed. I asked if it was for mounting which I thought he was referring to and received a response of "shifter stick". So I took the easy way out and said "zero holes".

Holes for what? To mount the lever?

Factory Z/28 Hurst shifter levers are push in and have a retainer to hold them in place.
