« on: May 27, 2013, 09:51:24 PM »
Hey guys
Who makes the best quality headliner for my 69 Camaro.   The stitching on mine is letting loose.   Damn.   Hate to put a repop one in but I guess I have no choice.   thanks    Steve

I have a restamp 480.    my car was stolen in 70 with 3000-4000 miles on it.   they got the carb, intake, ignition, air cleaner, front seats and trans.   I  found a correct dated real carb, intake but a fake distributor.   Cant handle the prices they are getting.        Still a cool car.   I love it !    Steve

Mild Modifications / my day 3 Z/28
« on: December 29, 2012, 11:30:49 PM »
Well.  My matching number DZ motor is on the stand freshened up and restored.   Last month i decided NOT to go 100% correct.   I found some NOS 15x4 cragar s/s wheels finally and have ordered the 15x10's for the rear.    Original 70914X 11A X77 car...  documented with 25,000 original miles. cortez silver cowl hood car.    I found a mint GM flat hood to cut a big hole in.    It should be in paint next week and am painting both hoods and putting the original cowl hood in the loft.    Custom 70's style street freak paint.   I'll post the paint pictures in the next few weeks.   be nice..... :)   Steve

Originality / delco metallic drum brake shoes

  hey guys...

Maybe sombody can help me.  I bought my 69 z28 5 months ago as an unfinished project.  It had been in storage since 1974 !  the previous owner told me he installed ceramic pads and shoes years ago on the car.  (never used)   when i got the car home and removed the drums i saw shoes like i had never seen.
the it had square pads as liners.  Odd to me.   They have slight surface rust due to the age but are stamped delco.     Were these ever installed in a factory car???
     thanks !   Steve

Originality / help with correct 69 steering wheel
« on: September 22, 2012, 09:27:13 PM »
Hey guys...   When i bought my 69 z28 it had an aftermarket steering wheel and need to install the right one.    My car has the base black interior.
Wood trim around the wiper and headswitch light area and wood trim on the radio.   No wood trim on ash tray door or glove box area.    It also has no passenger side grab handle over the glove box.     I'm guessing (and wanting) it came with either the standard or wood wheel.     If I install the standard wheel will the horn shroud have woodgrain or just plain black?      thanks !       Steve
