1969 - Orphans / Muncie 4 Speed 9N607881 Found
« on: April 23, 2016, 02:52:01 AM »
This is a transmission I have that is apart but has all of its old parts plus new parts.  The numbers on the case are 1 9N607881 and P9B22A.  I'd like to see if someone has the Camaro it belongs to.

General Discussion / What Kind Of Axles Are These?
« on: March 05, 2016, 04:28:54 AM »
I ended up with a lot of 69 Camaro parts and I know that the man that had these parts was in the process of getting parts together to make a JL8 4 wheel disc brake set up for one of his 69 Camaros.   There are 2 new aftermarket type axles that I'm guessing was part of the set up.  I would like to sell them sometime but first I would like to find out what brand they are and if they are indeed what would work for the JL8 option rear end or a 69 Camaro.  They are in a box that looks like the box they came in but for some reason the brand, part numbers or any information has been cut out.  I have no idea why.

So here are some clues and pictures.

He had put a piece of tape on both axles and one has 59.588 on it and the other has 29.585 on the tape and in marker 29.011.  For some reason it seems like a friend of his mentioned to me that they were Strange axles.  They are 30 and 3/8ths inches long.

I appreciate the help.

Restoration / What arer the correct colors for these?
« on: February 05, 2013, 01:57:07 AM »
I'm getting ready to have some parts powder coated.   I know there is a list on here for colors but it doesn't have some info.   What black color is the cowl induction air cleaner top cover?  Gloss or semi gloss.  What black color for the bottom part?  What black color is the flat seal ring?

Thanks, Wayne

A friend of mine asked if a 69 console with gages can be installed in a 1967 Camaro.  It is a 4 speed.  If so, what are the dimensions where the front bracket starts from some point like the welded seam?

Thanks, Wayne

Decoding/Numbers / 1969 chassis broadcast copy decoding information wanted
« on: February 13, 2012, 09:20:48 PM »
I found my chassis broadcast copy on top of the fuel tank on my California built Camaro and I can read most of it.  However, a little bit of one side and a portion that was glued on to the tank is gone.  And some parts of it are faded and I can't read the box numbers or codes.  Is there a place on this site that has a picture of a blank broadcast copy or one that I can read all of the box numbers and descriptions?  And, is there a place that has what the code numbers or letters mean?

Most of the parts on the car are still the original.  It has been painted black sometime a long time ago.  I'll attach a copy of the broadcast copy.

Thanks
