My dash is in the kitchen and I just looked it over good. I don't see any numbers on it. I know my door panels were dated

You guys are great help! Now if I didn't have to get tractors ready to plant I could get something done!
Get to feeling better too. If you like basketball was a good weekend to be shut in. Some great games so far

Thanks James. The main case was covered in oil film. Was disgusting but probably helped keep it nice

Trying to figure out if this is a zinc bolt or phosphated?
Mine appears to be a L5 on head and dark. Maybe zinc is gone??
192  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Re: Muncie cleaning on: March 21, 2014, 08:21:11 PM
Thanks James. Should the main case be a little brighter then?
193  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Re: Muncie cleaning on: March 18, 2014, 09:27:03 PM
I think the oil that was all over the main case kept it nice. Wasn't any on the back. The back is also alot rougher casting. I have seen the trailer wash. I might have some aluminum prep stuff for painting too..

Started cleaning gunk off my transmission today. Main case is pretty nice but the tail shaft has a different look to it. I was just going to clean it but I do have some walnut hulls I could run thru the blaster. What have you seen done that works and maybe what I have is normal? Front was covered in oil
