They can be chromed. There was a post on here that talked about soaking the glass to get it loose. Mine had a silicone like product and it was difficult to get loose

My opinion, for what it's worth lol, over 30 with those quarters is too much. What I have seen with that damage, if original fenders are still on it, they would be suspect at the bottom with the brace. Car really needs a good looking over

I was at the local Chevy dealer Friday talking to the salesman who has been there since 66. He said there was a BB z28 in town for years in a garage. He said the car was raced and came up for sale and they went to look it and the battery was in the trunk and some other mods so they passed on it. I believe he said it was sold and repainted a different color

I am going to try no gaskets. One less thing to go wrong!
7  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: if you could go back and redesign the 67/8 .. or that other one, on: December 11, 2014, 08:02:16 PM
I have seen fairly late model dodge trucks here with the bed side rotted out and you can see a rope looking piece in there that didn't help the problem

I have searched and looked in assembly manual and not much luck. I did see center bolts 35 outside bolts 15. Is this without gaskets? With gaskets any different? I am using french locks and no gaskets.

11  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: car that lost its barn! on: December 05, 2014, 02:14:10 PM
Same house but moved about 200 feet. My dad knows him and he owns it with another guy who won't sell it. I need to stop and visit and see if I can get better pics. The barn burnt like 15 years ago and I looked at it when it was sitting at a neighbors. No motor I don't remember any interior being in it but if it was is no account now. He told dad the motor is in the trunk but there is no trunk.. my dad won't admit it but his hearing isn't great either. It am pretty sure its a 66

I was working ground last night and there's a portable looking shed where corvette was. Well today its obvious car is not in shed. I think the guy is retired and might be there so that's the best you get! The 50s truck has moved but still outside. Place is a diaster

15  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / plug wire heat shields on 69 on: November 29, 2014, 02:41:14 PM
These are stamped AAc on bracket and shield. I thought they were originals and look to have soot under the bracket. Does anyone have a set with this stamp?
