1  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Shippers/haulers (from MI to FL preferred) on: October 18, 2014, 05:51:19 PM
If this ever comes up these guys haul mi/oh to Florida. The are based in Florida. Nice semi/ enclosed trailer like the big boys. He hauled for us before but my dads 57 Ford retractable came home this year with buckled quarters and the continental kit fell apart.  We found it after the guy left when the passenger door wouldn't open. Figured the bolts just loosened up on continental.  Not so. They are minuteman out of I think Avondale. They wouldn't do anything but knew something happened.

Hi Chick. I was pretty sure my 69 was not painted. Just cleaned it up last week

I checked and the mechanical pump on the hemi flows 110 GPH. I might put my pump on that replaced the 40669 and hope it doesn't leak. It has the correct logo but wrong number. I think its 40 years old and might see what the repops look like

I have not raced it but know its probably getting under 10 mpg. Gauge acts funny so I top it off regularly. 1300 cfm with one to one linkage and a fair sized fuel pump. Of course there's no way to drive it kindly.

I was wondering, do the numbers on ac fuel pumps such as 40669, mean it is just for a z, or do some of these pumps have different flow rates? I doubt if I find a 40669 but have seen correct appearing ac logo pumps and curious if they have different GPH ratings  if they take the same size fuel lines

I am using the stock stands and bought 302 mounts
7  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Motor mounts on: August 22, 2014, 10:01:36 PM
I am not reusing my original non locking motor mounts. I bought a locking set and wondering if they are ok to use with the original frame mounts? I read on a different site that it sounded like all 69 mounts were locking but that's not true.
Thanks guys

I had a picture of the stamping on the original spare out of my 03D car but cant find it right off. The spare was unused and separated from the car by a guy who was reselling it. I know where it is and might see if he remembers what it was. From my info, wheels in this time frame were built in runs of 2-3 days. Dec 17-19 of 68, jan 10 and 11, Jan 26-29 and Feb 26-28. Prices seem to run 300-500 bucks on condition

I got there off 23 and was south of Henderson. Real nice park with big shade trees. I think I was over 200 in the number of cars.

I would leave it like it is! Very cool. I had my red GTX there up toward the food. Nice show but left about 3 when we saw showers moving in. Got to a mile of my buddies in Hilliard and started to shower.
Anymore shows you might get to? I was in Powell a week ago. Might try the zoo which I thinks October
11  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / custom striped Z I saw this weekend on: August 18, 2014, 09:13:07 AM
Was at a show I went to Saturday. I thought the tag appeared real. 10-10 with dark blue interior. X33d80. Paint appeared to be old lacquer that was checked.
12  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Caveat Emptor..another on: August 06, 2014, 07:40:07 AM
I sent him a note and asked about the tag (not giving specifics). And a couple other things like tranny looked stamped twice. He basically said unless we were there anything could have happened. He's like the 3rd owner. So I said why is the transmission date June in a March car. He replied he didn't know.
Like Austin said lawsuit waiting to happen

For some reason, on my iPad, the description is all off to the side and I can't read it.
