1  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: New guy - Hello! Need opinions - is it a real SS? on: November 17, 2014, 09:54:47 PM
Rear end is a 12 bolt, code is BT032502, with an E underneath – which IDs it as a 3.55 Eaton posi unit from March 25, which seems to jive with the VIN date.  I don’t know what the “02” at the end stands for, although the zero could have been a 6 or a G, very hard to read.

Probably a G2 after the date.
G=Detroit Gear and Axle
2=2nd shift

Like Kurt said the axle look good but no way to prove it is a real SS. My take is that unless someone went through all of the trouble to change out to multileaf rear springs, heater box, and radiator and not just the engine and trans, so I have to agree with KurtS  there is a good probability it is a real SS, but no way to prove it.

That is the worst grind and restamp job I have seen.

I am interested in seeing what Junk Yard Dog and Chezoom sells for. My favorite Boyd build is still Whathehey

Mine is an original unrestored. You can see the fade line around the mid to top of the trim tag. You can barely see the T proof stamp so you can tell it had been untouched except some PO scrubbed the trim tag.
5  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Original dealer info for 1st gens is available on: July 15, 2014, 06:34:23 PM
We are missing the following data:
1969 Camaro 9N508855 to 9N587275

I guess this means they do not have mine 9N547348?
6  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Re: My 69 SS/RS Project started on: March 26, 2014, 06:50:55 PM
Tail light lenses are not RS and I do not see the cut outs for the back up lights in the rear pan so I don't think it is an RS either.

That looks like a fun project. Good luck and we all hope see pictures of your progress. Mine is also a 11C car and built only about 3700 after yours according to the vin #.
Red with White stripes is a great color combination. Have fun with your car.

9  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 396 350hp fuel pump on: March 10, 2014, 05:32:53 PM
I will try and get the information from mine when I get at chance. It is an original L34.

Well since no one else asked, did you take the pics? If so, how did you get in?
11  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: New Z28 Pricing.... $75K??? on: January 05, 2014, 06:39:27 PM
At that price point I would rather own a 427 Convertible corvette.
12  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Mild Modifications / Re: How to make chrome parts looked brushed? on: January 04, 2014, 11:39:15 AM
A previous post suggested a wire wheel so I would try that on a scrap piece or with steel wool or emery cloth first and see how it works?

I will be watching this one to see what it sells for. I wish I could afford another one!
