That sucks..  Been there before.  Just a tip for the future.  Put moth balls in or around the car & no critters will get around it..

I stand corrected.:-)  BTW just confirmed it on the rallye green L78.

$69,500 and I heard the trim tag disclaimer at the end. I couldn't believe it went for that knowing it wasn't an original tag car - it must have some other documentation, or is the general public that trusting ? Aren't a lot of 10 10 Z's recreated cars under any circumstances ? Sheese - I can't wait to get my Z's crossram installed, along with a JL8 rear, factory headers that were installed when I bought it, and the 1969 era factory GPS I bought at a swap meet and send it to Scottsdale. Air conditioner, too.

Commentator also mentioned it was a GM crossram - I half way expected him to say it came in the trunk. At least he said it wasn't a JL8 car -

Regards,
Steve

Tiffany was rolling her eyes cause I was talking to myself and arguing with the commentators on tv about the car..  lol

Is there any documentation showing it is a Z28 ?

If there is Charley they never said or showed anything definitely confirming it was..

real Z28 but a repro 10-10 trim tag.  Body work is also rough.

Jerry

Jerry, Im guessing you have inspected the car previously?  That is the problem with watching this on tv (for me) you dont get to see all the details of a car.

Im pretty sure that it was just the door that got the decal but let me double check this afternoon on another original paint 68 L78 car.  In the mean time post more pics of that car!!!  Also add some data to this thread please if you can.  BTW awesome looking car from the pic you posted..  Love the LeMans Blue.

Now I understand, that car looks sweet in the drive way with the early torq thrusts. Still surprises me to see so many unrestored cars without the console gauges factory, it seems like more of the track oriented cars did not have them. Maybe they ran a set of mechanical stewart warner gauges instead.

You'd be surprised how many restored cars didn't come with gauges but have them now....   Wink

By the looks of the trunk area & engine compartment it looks like it was painted all white at one time.

Does this help? Or are you wanting the far rear hangers?

Mark,
Some people like 'em, some don't, but I'm happy to have all 5 of mine on the L78 X66 12A barn car.

Hope your using the X66 term to describe your car, and not saying its on your Dec 68 12A cowl tag. Shocked

Mark,
That's exactly what he is doing..  Sometimes it's just easier to call it that when describing..
837  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Very original (unrestored) '69 X44 on ebay on: July 31, 2013, 01:55:13 AM
Yep it had the dog dish caps with painted rims.  Still have the rims somewhere in the collection of parts but dad sold the caps to a guy who had a COPO or a clone can't remember which.

Not 100% sure just yet.  We need more data points from original cars.
839  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Very original (unrestored) '69 X44 on ebay on: July 30, 2013, 09:25:05 PM
Lol that is funny.  Billy said he used to see her in it.  She would drive it up to Dix's Food Mart and get her groceries.  When we had finished it we took it over to her to see it and she said; "I see you put one of those humps on the hood (cowl hood) and a flip on the back (spoiler).  Only regret I have was not painting it back Frost Green but I was young and dumb..  Oh well, itll go back that color one day..
840  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Order status "Echoes Of Norwood" on: July 30, 2013, 07:23:51 PM
Line up of 67, 68, and 69 Z's. Not too common a sight I wouldn't think.

Whos 68?  Would love to see more pics of that car.
