After a week off for home improvements   Roll Eyes   and cleaning up the garage due to the improvements I got back to doing a little plating..  I also polished the parts like Jim suggested.

Heres before

After cleaning

Then plating finished

Technically, We said it was possible..  Kurt makes a valid point that he/we could narrow it down more with the vin.  You will still need the p-o-p or mso or other proof for it to be 100% correct.   Wink

I just want to make sure there is no confusion.

Hope everything checks out and works out.   Smiley

Another quick question.  Would they have worked Saturday to make up for the Monday which was Christmas?

Thanks John!!

Specifically Christmas 1967 & New Years 1968 timeframe?  Any differences between plants ?  More curious about Van Nuys..

Just because it is a 12B car doesnt mean it was finished that same week..   Wink

I feel like the rear is definitely possible for that car.  Of course without papers it will be a useless discussion..

Yep and its a shame they didnt paint it back Lemans Blue...
565  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 1968 camaro clone on: October 21, 2013, 02:59:41 PM
I dont disagree..  I hate the plastic covers.  Id rather see the engine.  I guess when you have to appeal to the general public you have to make covers to make it visually appealing..  Oh well I am happy with either old school or new technology (minus the covers).  Also depends on the look and style you are going after.   Wink

BACK ON TOPIC:

I would say most have already hit the common questions to ask about or look for.  I agree with Charley too, I would offer him 18-20  and go from there; as long as everything else checked out.  You can personalize it later on.  Bottom line is if you like the car and it meets your standards then go for it.

LS engines are great..  super power, much better gas mileage, esp when you install the appropriate O/D trans with it, but don't you wish the LS engines were not so UGLY?  Smiley

Come on now..  How could you say no to one of these.. Shocked

It's also listed on the Riverside, CA Craigslist for $35k, but before that it was listed for $33k so his price has gone up!

http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/4136881149.html

In my opinion, it's not worth half that.

By the way, the VIN is 124379N634632 and it's been on ebay several times since 2006.

Ed

Thanks Ed.  Yes I wasnt sure if the car had been listed before.  I still question the engine & trans..
568  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Z10 on: October 21, 2013, 08:00:23 AM
No vin, floor appears to have been patched with an auto tunnel, its heater delete but with welded in blank firewall..  Tag looks ok (but would like to see a better bigger pic) but I have my doubts about the engine & trans.  Liked to see the vin and hidden vin (at least on the top of the cowl.  Too many ?? at this point..
