Originality / Paint marking on Pass Side Frame Rail

Has anyone ran across this before?  This is a beige color that is on the passenger side just before the exhaust hanger on the frame rail..

The manifolds are for an auto.  You can see in the last pic the raised boss area and bolt hole (or rivet cant remember) in the center port of the manifold for the heat stove pipe that goes up to the air cleaner.

Can you get a better pic of the just the pop plate?  Thanks, Darrell

I had and that is another reason I wanted to see more original 68s from LOS & NOR and see if it is consistent before I made any comments.  Regardless good eye..  Its funny the more you look at things on an original car the more you see in oddities..   

Side note.  Did you find those wheels today?

You hear or you know..??..  Sounds like you having knowledge of it being there is telling another story..  I can't speak for all but this 68 owner doesnt need erectile help..


Still working out the details but this deal may or may not happen.  I just wanted to see if it was feasible..

I have been thinking about doing something else with original unrestored cars, but have to get more input on that. That would be something more involved than these write ups that go with the monthly pics.  Maybe even a new section where people can post their own pics and write up. Stay tuned.

This is something I would be interested in.  I have already started a thread in the Preservation Section over on SYC.  Only reason I havent posted it here is due to I wasnt sure how it would be received since we dont have a build thread section or in your case an unrestored section..  I say do it.  I know there will be several that would be great candidates for something like that.

I am digging the new layout of the Cars of the Month..  Click on the 68 - "Feature Car" and take a look..  I think this would give people a better understanding of peoples' rides plus I personally like hearing the stories that go along with the rides..  Keep it up guys!!  I like it!!

Same here. Never ever want to do something to anger or hurt anyone.  If fact, it is this ribbing that shows how close some of us are, here, and it is hopefully taken in the right spirit, that is, in jest. I would like to think a few of us have a brotherly relation, much as a club member, and kind of like the camaraderie that comes  from our friendships.

Speaking of needing a room!!!!  lol
