67 nor 68 had a hole below the ignition switch.  If this hole was for a manual choke it was installed by a previous owner.  They came with a thermostatic choke take worked off of heat from the intake to open it. 

FYI when you have questions about your car or anything in general pictures are worth a thousand words as they say.  In some cases it helps greatly..

Only one that I have ever heard of parts being used (that were at least similar) was the 70-72 cargo light on the C-10 and the 69 RS backup light housing.  Of course the pigtail was different..

Like I said my past experiences turned the chromate finish to just a gold finish after clearing.  That was my first attempt with the conversion process.  I hope to get a few other pieces finished before this weekend.  Ill post them up once I am finished.  Since that piece I showed of the clamp I do not allow the part to soak any longer than 15 secs..  Those AC fittings look great btw.  How many times do you strike your parts in the zinc bath?

Not bad - in fact, not bad at all. Did you bead the chromate version ? I bet if you top coated with clear it would be dynamite. Probably last forever, too. Great job -

Thanks!!  I guess it is sorta a bead process.  I havent tried it with these parts yet but in the past when I have cleared chromate parts it tends to wash out the rainbow coloring.  It may have been my process.  Ill try to clear this clamp and see what it looks like after.

Well I finally got around to try out my zinc plating process.  Everything seems to have gone ok for the first prelim run.  I believe once I get more parts and the process down I think these parts will come out great.  Figured I would try it out on a broken clamp.  I only worked on the outer ring portion of the clamp and nothing else.  I also think once I blast these parts they will take better.

67 neither painted them.  Then sometime between 68-9 NOR went to painting them.

Both of my '67's too are silver with no paint. I believe they painted them in `69 which included the door catch as well.
I can't speak for `68 though.

I was just coming back to post that I answered my question by doing a little searching.  It also appears that it depends on where it was built also.  NOR or LOS.

Now I am confused.  The assembly I took out of my 67 was silver cad.  This finish guide also shows the screws to be the same.  Was 67 different than 69? Why would they put the latch assembly into the door and the rod that goes to the handle mech (which is a bear to attach when latch is installed) to the latch assembly not be installed.  My experience it is much easier and quicker to install the handle mech, rod & latch assembly in all together.  I would have thought the production line would have done the same.?.  Also there was no paint on the screws or assembly when I took it apart.
