I know its a few hours early but I want to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year.  I hope everyone accomplishes everything they set out to do and maybe this year will lead to meeting a few of you at shows and/or swap meets.

General Discussion / Picked up a couple unrestored originals last night

I stopped by my mothers last night to help her with some organization of her kitchen after a remodel.  Found these that I had forgotten about and brought them home.  The green car was done by a family friend for my father.  The white 67 was done by my father back in the early 70s.

General Discussion / Annual Local Car Show

Spent the day at a local show that usually brings the cars out in the couple hundreds..  With the weather being in the 60's and sunny it was a perfect day for it.  Just shy of 500 cars and right at 10-15 cars (questimate #) in my class (Camaro modified)..  Classes and judging done by the local AACA chapter.

Took a few pics of the cars that I thought were cool  should have taken more but with talking with people and bsing I ran out of time..

Originality / Paint marking on Pass Side Frame Rail

Has anyone ran across this before?  This is a beige color that is on the passenger side just before the exhaust hanger on the frame rail..

I am digging the new layout of the Cars of the Month..  Click on the 68 - "Feature Car" and take a look..  I think this would give people a better understanding of peoples' rides plus I personally like hearing the stories that go along with the rides..  Keep it up guys!!  I like it!!

Does anyone have or can get pics of the stripe on an original D90 68.  Mainly interested in the stripe were the Camaro emblem is located..  This photo has promoted my question..  Im not at home currently so I can not look at the green car for comparison.  03A build date.  Thanks, Darrell

Since I have finished the car I havent driven it but maybe 5 times and I am starting to consider if I should sale the car..  I havent fully made up my mind yet but I am curious what people think the cars value would be..  No bs be honest.  You wont piss me off..   

You can look through my build thread here and it was Ride of  the Month this past August on Team Camaro.  Also I have only entered it into one local car show and it brought home 1st.

I let my frustrations get the best of me yesterday and I said some things that were not needed.  For that I am sorry.  After sitting back and really looking at the situation I cant say I wouldn't act any different if someone were to sit there and call me a liar in so many words.  Again my apologizes for speaking out in an unprofessional manner.  That was not how I was raised and I am frankly embarrassed by my actions.

Maintenance / Paint Rejuvenation

Its been a while since I have posted anything due to building engines for a few customers along with a few other odds and ends..  I am going to consider this "maintenance" due to a cars paint as well as everything else needs attention from time to time.  So yesterday I bought a new tool/toy and gave it a try last night to see how well it would do.. The before pic you can see some fine scratches on the deck lid. So I picked up a DA polisher from Harbor Freight and all 3 pads. After cleaning the surface; I used Meguiar's Scratch 2.0 then back over it with #7. I can say I am very pleased with the polisher and cant wait to finish the entire car..  If any of you have been like me and always hand polished or waxed your car then go out and get this polisher and you will not be sorry..  I also plan to use this on the original paint 68 within the next few months so I will add that to this thread at that time.

Any members around the Santa Ana area or any cruise-ins that I can go to while I'm out there?  Should fly out on the 22nd and possibly out there for a couple weeks for work just depends on a few variants..
