What are the correct shims for adjusting the Rally Sport headlight assembly's? There was a Camaro at the Nationals last year that got charged points for using a body shim for the assembly.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Scoop

Do you use the same body shims to shim the cowel as the fenders and rest of the body?   Thanks, Scoop

I too am have a 68 Le Mans Blue RS Z28 that I am in the process of a full restoration. I think the 68 was the best of the three years. I like the 67 but think the 68 is better without the vent window. Scoop
68  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Correct finish for the speedometer cable clips on the firewall on: February 27, 2012, 09:14:05 PM
Can someone advise me as to the correct finish for the three speedometer cable clips that mount to the firewall and transmission tunnel for the 4 speed cars. I have been told they were natural, silver cad, and black.  I want to have them correct so I am hoping someone has the answer. I have been researching this site a lot and have learned a great deal. I appreciate all the information you guys have to offer.  Thanks in advance.  Scoop
69  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Correct finish on double ended brake line and fuel line clips on: February 27, 2012, 09:06:41 PM
Can anyone tell me the correct finish for the double ended brake line and fuel line clips that are mounted to the side rails and underside of my 68 Z28. Should they be black phosphate or just painted like the semi gloss like the under body? Thank you for all the good information. Scoop
70  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / suade paint on rear window trim on: February 27, 2012, 09:00:04 PM
I am ready to finish the painting on my 68 Z28 and have had conflicting information on what area around the rear window gets the suede paint like the top of the dash. Can anyone tell me it all the trim under the rear window, corners and metal below the sail panel all get this paint or just some of it. If not what gloss level should these parts be? Thanks for helping.  I want this car to go the Camaro Nationals and don't want to have to re do this.

73  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / 68 front spoiler mounting on: December 27, 2011, 09:00:14 PM
Can anyone tell me the correct mounting for the small spoiler on the early 68 Camaro? This is the short one that has the grain pattern. Do they use tapped screws into the lower valence or screws with nuts? If anyone has a picture with the correct fasteners it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your help,  Scoop

75  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / 68 Camaro clucth and clutch assembly housing on: December 22, 2011, 02:02:25 PM
Can someone tell me the correct finish on my 68 Z28 brake and clutch assembly housing? I removed it and it was painted black. I do not believe it was ever removed before but not sure because I have seen others that were natural like the parking brake assembly. The pedals are natural finish except where they were dipped black up close to the housing.  I have some in natural finish, some  painted black,  and seen them painted silver for a restoration. I want to take this car to the Camaro Nationals so I want it to be correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for every one on this site as I have received a wealth of information.
