Are you using OE or aftermarket emblems and did you find backing plates?

What should I do? The needle is broken on my Tic Toc Tach on my 1968 z28, replacing the tach with a reproduction is the last thing I want to do. I would rather repair my original. All input, experiences and advise will be appreciated.

I just bought a complete numbers matching 68 z28 drivetrain, uh radiator to 12 bolt rearend 4 leaf springs, including altanator and power steering.
The car it came out of was totaled over 35 years ago,
My question is what to do with this stuff .......
Sell to someone with a great need?
Make a clone z28,
Find a documented z without its original drivetrain?
Or what ... I would really appreciate help finding the best use of these rare parts
Thanks in advance

If the points are ok just spay the winder with light weight oil I have done this before. Seems that the problem is the lube gets dried out and the winder cant work, I have never had to redo the points, several good comments here at this link ....
