I have a 1968 z28 none matching numbers drive train, the motor is a MO block from another z28, transmission has been replaced, rear axle is a non posi 12 bolt  looks original, this car has all the markers of a z28 but its undocumented.

The question is if I get Jerry to Certify the car how much does it add to the value of the car?
If anyone has been through the process please let me know your feelings.

After I finish my current career,  I would like to consider making some top quality reproduction parts for 1st gen Camaros. I am just curious as to where the community feels there are needs. I have read post where  Jerry M. is not happy with dash pads, I think there may be a void in n44 components,ie knuckle arms, drag and pit man arms. I recently was told that the deluxe seat emblems have been discontinued.
So the question is what top quality part would you like to see made?

Looking for a website where you can search by bolt application (ie. 68 hood bolt) so you can see what the correct bolt looks like along with specs including. color, length, markings etc.
This would greatly help in assembly of basket cases

Originality / How can you identify a big block car?
« on: October 10, 2011, 02:56:05 AM »
I have a 68 camaro convertible date 03C
it has a 2.73 12 bolt non  posi date 3/20/68
Yes it has the big block heater box
It has big block engine mounts
It has 68 396 engine date g 10 8 and 400 transmission
Console with gauges and tic tick tach
The vin stamp has been milled but you can see a very faint stamped Y
I am trying to discern if this is a true big block car
is it possible this is the original engine?
What other things are  unique to a big block car?
