It’s my opinion that if someone’s willing to go through the trouble to change trim tag...they most likely would re-stamp block, fake paper work and do what ever it takes to make the car something that it is not.

I do agree... when you change trim tags to match color ...it makes me question the whole car or wonder if the car was rebodied...or what else has been faked and why has it.

How much value should this car lose by having a repo tag? I am assuming that it puts the whole car in question. Or is it not a big deal?

Has your car N700664 always been in Rochester, NY.
I know of one other Daytona 69 with yellow interior and that was when I lived in Rochester NY.... however I thought that car was rusted pretty badly .....most cars in Rochester rusted do to the very heavy salted roads.

Would the starter motor dates also be same month? I have a starter motor that is the correct part number however it is two months earlier than car build date.

Besides my 67 Camaro I also own a Corvette.....I notice that all reproduction parts made for Corvette’s are much more authentic and better quality then reproduction parts made for Camaro’s and mustangs....has anybody else notice this?
Therefore I am doing my Camaro with ONLY original GM parts. I have bought some reproduction stuff over the years and ended up not using them and searching for original or correct  nos parts. I am one of those purists that also has to have everything with the correct date codes on anything that I buy used.
That’s also why I have been working on This 67 Camaro for 28 years! I have owned it since I was in my early twenties and never stopped working on it.

Cory Lawson whom has the first Camaro ever built has a website.....if you read through they explain what they had to do to trace and find cars....it’s a great web sight to look at. “Pilotcarregistry.com”

Congratulations on your purchase!
Did you buy the car from the guy that started this post?

How can you tell that the tag was off the car?

It is my understanding that they did produce a few 327 non SS pace car replicas....supposedly some were at the track for race week activities. I have seen pictures of theses cars.
