Would be nice if they could find a way to combine Camaro nationals with Charlotte auto fair…..Since NC is in the middle of the eastern USA, they would draw cars from more place’s

Well I live in NC….so at least it would be nice for me.

I went on Friday when everyone was setting  up…several very nice wish I owned cars…..the three cars that a thought were amazing are

67 blue yenko with red deluxe interior factory power windows, fold down seat, and many other rare options

68 green yenko…..with original owner.

Beautiful hugger orange 69 Z28 that looked perfect.

Nice $75,000 car......the extra $100,000 is for Gregg Long  (just think of all the time he spent “tracking down” the original engine)?

This is a good reason to have Jerry certify any hi dollar rare original   “believed to be” before you buy.
I bet he would cost less then a lawyer on a long dragged out law suit! Also should help your heirs when they go to sell in the future!

I had seen the car you bought for sale at a Chevrolet dealership advertising it online a few months ago...one of the nicest optioned 67’s that I had ever seen.
Now that I look am looking over the pictures you posted I realize it’s the same car!

The group 4P tells fisher body that the body being built get a radius rod plate for traction on higher performance cars...the 327 (non SS cars) cars only counted if they where 4 barrel higher horsepower 327’s with 4 speed transmissions.
All of the SS cars got the radius rods regardless if it was a 3 speed car or automatic.
Since your car has no designation in group 2 for a 4 speed..it had to be a SS to get Radius rod (4P on trim tag)

Originality / Re: 1969 Camaro Vin sequence question. Last 6 digits.
« on: February 12, 2021, 06:27:34 PM »
I am sure they built a lot more then 120 a day?
Los factory was making multiple car lines mixed in with Camaro’s  so they produced a lot less. However Norwood was a full camaro line and produced a lot more then 120 Camaro’s a day.

I believe it’s not that uncommon to have body numbers out of sequence from vin...sometime there could be issues with getting certain parts....although 42,047 does seem like a lot.

According to trim tag this car was originally a three on the tree or powerglide on the column.
SS 350.
IF it was a 327 it would have a “L” in group 2 in order to have a “p” in group 4

164
It’s my belief that “only” the yellow interior cars had the door tops painted a different color than the dash color was painted...and the interior paint trim color used on the trim tag designated the color of the door tops not the dash color.
