Originality / Re: Tuxedo Black 1967 396 Norwood Tailpan Blackout
« on: December 04, 2021, 07:25:46 PM »
I thought I read somewhere that deep water blue and Tuxedo black big block cars didn’t  get a blacked out tail pan from factory.
Can anyone verify that?

Why even bother putting on any factory markings on a restoration if you not going to do the research to even get them remotely close?  All that tells me is that it’s most likely a pour restoration.

I thought Shelby American did have a package for gen 5 Camaro’s (May not be factory GM sponsored) however individuals could take there cars there to get modified.

I was aware of the differences in the 67 camaro early and later……I just wasn’t sure if the firebird subframes are exactly the same as camaro subframes.

« on: October 27, 2021, 10:55:21 PM »
Would anybody know if a 67 Camaro and a 67 firebird subframe is the exact same?
I know of all the subtle differences between 67, 68 and 69 Camaro subframes.
I just needed to know if firebird subframe had some differences from camaro.

General Discussion / Re: repop parts
« on: October 08, 2021, 01:17:19 PM »
I believe certain cars Camaro’s, Corvettes, Mustangs, and some trucks will have many years of companies making repo parts…..you will even see electric motor set up kits for early Camaro’s and Mustangs. After all there are repo bodies. I see quite a lot of the younger generations that like early Mustangs early Camaro’s and trucks over other classic cars.
Now I do see a lots of lost interest in 50’s and older cars the younger generation doesn’t seem to have as much interest in them.
I do know of a 19 year old kid that wanted an early Camaro or Mustang for his every day driver…he looked at many and finally decided on a 67 mustang coupe…because it was all he could afford. His mom was a sales rep whom knew I had a few collector cars and asked if I mind looking over some cars that they found on internet for him.
