The third digit could only be 0 through 4 as there is no 485xxx.

I saw that today. Very sad to see. He was a legend and so easily likeable. Condolences to the family.

RIP Big Al!!

Of course "The Camaro's original build and identification tags remain as mounted at the Norwood, Ohio assembly plant" are not shown.

Wow!!

Agree, it would be a shame to see the car lose it's true identity! Very cool car except for the poor fitment of the interior trim as noted.

Great post Scott! Thanks!

Sad news. A great competitor and excellent career. Condolences to his family.

Looks great! I am a big fan of the mag style wheel covers. Great that Walmart would do the tires for you. Discount Tire in CA would not even check the tire pressure on a set I had that had reached the ten year old mark.

I often wonder if anyone is actually reading this garbage I post...after all, it's a SIX-BANGER!

Oh my...... your posts could never be described as garbage !!! They are very informative and extremely enlightening. I, like others I'm sure, are always looking forward to the coming additional offerings of your passion to preserve your Camaro. Don't ever stop, and many, many thanks for all you've provided us up to this point.

My hat is off to you and your dedication to continuing this superbly informative (and often unobserved) side of the history of Camaro. Thank you.

Chuck

Could not have said it better! I always look forward to reading your posts because you make it interesting, relatable and fun. It's great to read and learn about things that I have limited knowledge or experience of.

Garage Talk / Re: Shelby Camaro?
« on: November 09, 2021, 01:19:41 AM »
I thought Shelby American did have a package for gen 5 Camaro’s (May not be factory GM sponsored) however individuals could take there cars there to get modified.

That might be correct. However, that does not mean Shelby built it. Just as a Challenger or Viper went to Shelby American AFTER the car was made from Chrysler by the customer to get modded. This situation is like buying any new car, then the customer has new wheels and tires installed by America's Tire Pros. No factory involvement. Kinda like the old saying "Day two modifications".

Completely agree.

Nicely done!

No knowledge of such a car, but possible I suppose. I bet Shelby would have signed anything for the right price.
