I don't see anything wrong with buying the car, taking what you need, and discarding the rest. And I don't see any liability issues. My opinion is the trim tag is suspicious.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Carburetor Date Code

Doesn't seem likely with both being built the third week of January. Maybe if the carb was built and shipped the first of the week and the car was built at the end of the week; but that would be a long shot.

Not a T/A race car...but ordering it was inspired by them.

My 06B Birth Certificate.

Curious if the wheels on the 48 are 8" Corvette or widened. The offset looks pretty deep.

Thanks for the info Jon. I was always under the impression that the tall spoiler was a COPO only item for 70 and became standard D80 sometime in 71.

1. I don't think I have ever seen a dash with that many gauges in it.
2. I don't know when the tall spoiler made it to production, but my Van Nuys 10B 71 Z had the short spoiler.

I special ordered two Firebird's and two Camaro's in the the 70's and 80's. All were ordered without factory radios and I did not specify the windshield antenna to be installed. Every one of them was delivered with the antenna in the windshield.

Jon, the picture I posted is the only one that eBay did not remove from the listing after it closed. But the top was the same pattern as the originals that you posted.
