Why not list the complete partial VIN and post your block in the orphans section?

Paul

I agree.  I believe all members should give other members a real shot at acquiring THEIR orphaned part.  It should not be all about money.

Without engine and trans, it is not worth much.
7  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 1969 Z/28 Cowl Tag, Weird looking on: March 27, 2012, 01:30:21 PM
Clearly a fake Z/28.  It is very nice though, but not for $59K!  Worth about $15 or less with that fake tag.

Yep, you are right.  I missed the VIN in the description.  I used a mirror to decode the numbers.

12  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / 69 Powerglide painted number markings - what does it mean? on: July 24, 2011, 07:58:32 PM
I finally peeled back the grease from my original trans and saw big numbers painted on the bell housing.  The were painted black and were the following:

9'17
33

The partial VIN matches my car (which I finally found - thanks to CRG), but those paint "marks" took me for a surprise.

Your input is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick
