4  Model Specific Discussions / Trans-Am Camaros / Re: For All of You That Want to Own A Trans Am Race Car on: December 23, 2012, 03:47:04 PM
It was bought for $324K at the Palm Beach Barrett-Jackson auction in 2006 and I don't believe it would get even half that nowadays. If you got down to a third of the 2006 price I think it would sell so it would seem that the true value of the car is somewhere in between.
How much would it cost to get it historic T/A racing?

I sure wish I could afford to own it. Here's a link to the current ebay auction, #281039702945.
What is this car worth today?

I like the flat hood but not the black tail panel the previous owner must have.

The car has standard black interior. I got the car without motor or trans it was raced at famoso raceway in the 70's. I dressed the engine compartment kinda day two stock. 1969 impala 350 with z intake headers unlite m21 wide ratio 4.56 gear YES alot of fun. I put a .600 lift solid roller 350 ported victor jr dart heads monster in it REAL fun.

The car was repainted in the 70's original color it's a very nice old camaro. It was parked in 1983 until I bought it in 2007. Torq thrust d's very hard to find but I had to have them staggered tires helps the look.

13  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Restoring White Lettering on Tires on: May 13, 2012, 10:39:26 PM
X2 pumice stone or even a loose grinding wheel most all white lettering is thick, think of it like taking off a layer of skin. Rub the snot out of it then wash should be good as new.
