Originality / Re: Late 68 model year changes
« on: March 18, 2022, 02:35:29 PM »
Thanks for the help. Appreciate the help regarding the console flocking. My 07C car has 4 piston disc brakes so if there was a change to single piston, it must have been very late. Will check my master cylinder for the other items. My car mostly original.

trying to find any other late 68 model year changes which may have occurred as assembly was getting ready for the 1969 model. Only items that come to mind are the change in front spoiler being bolted to the front valence vs. using the braces and the hood adjustment hole. Anything else come to mind? thanks, Brad

Would anyone have good photos showing the date code on either a 67 Standard brand mirror or a 68 Ajax brand mirror? thanks, Brad

The fuel line support bracket was used on Holley equipped cars after June, 1969. Legends is leaning towards the fuel line block being painted silver

White sticker or decal on passenger inner fender looks like a Canadian decal for the oil service

There is also the 1969 Camaro Legends Judging manual that has photos of correct finished suspension and other components. That can be ordered thru PaceCarL78@gmail.com

For anyone interested in the manual, my contact info is camaro67@aol.com for my personal email. And PaceCarL78@gmail.com for the Camaro Legends Resource. Being respectful of the CRG policy on advertising.  The Saturday seminar on judging went over fairly well at MCACN. Disappointed in the Sunday attendance. Did not hear it announced over the intercom. FWIW - Scored a concours gold.

Thinking a later replacement base would be marked just U if replaced very late 1969 or 1970 up

Originality / Two types of Peaked Trico Wiper Blades
« on: August 28, 2021, 10:45:35 PM »
Seeing 2 different styles of " Peaked" Trico wiper arms. First has 2 bends and comes to the typical peak or point that comes to mind. The other has 3 bends and comes to a flatter peak. This style is not the flat style replacement Trico wiper blade. These are on 1968 and 1969. Why the difference? Is it a production date issue ? thanks

Originality / 1969 Z21 Wheel Opening Moulding Bolts
« on: August 15, 2021, 10:55:31 PM »
The 1969 AIM for the RPO Z21 shows a change for the bolt ( screw assembly) mounting the moulding, inner fender, and fender together. The standard cars used a black bolt with floating washer, while the cars with the mouldings received a silver bolt with a serrated floating washer. When was the date change to the silver? Can't read the date in the AIM. thanks
