Saw this listed as an option on the Vintage Vehicle Services Report from 1969 Z28 listed on ebay. Was wondering if this might mean stripe delete ?

Decoding/Numbers / 69 L78 trim tag

Saw a 69 L78 Camaro locally at a classic car dealer that was hosting a cruise night.  Lots of things wrong in engine compartment, such as an aftermarket booster and master cyl and replacement water pump. Trim tag shows a 12 B date.  Any thoughts on the tag ? Dealer was asking $64,995 for the Camaro. Did have an SS hood instead of the ZL2 hoods people put on

Was at a small car show today where I met someone with a very late build Camaro. Build date was 10C of 1969. VIN was 124379N699714

Body number looked to be NOR141234. Camaro was a 40 40 Butternut Yellow  and  an X55 D80

Just curious - what is the latest Camaro in the database. I told the owner I would ask. Gave him my card with email. When I get his I will put him in touch with the group

The Camaro Nationals are coming up fast. There are still one or two openings in the Legends class. Openings are also available for any special Camaros to be part of the indoor display. Restoration / Temperature Guage won't go off cold

Restored my car with a new engine wiring harness. All guages worked before disassembly.  After re-assembly, the original temp guage doesn't work. Stays on cold. Goes hot when grounded.  Have changed out the temperature sender twice with no teflon tape. Just bought a repro fuel guage for the car and it doesn't work. Any suggestions as to what is wrong ?

Does anyone know about the Tripoli Turquoise 1968 RS Z28 that sold at Mecum - Pre-production or experimental Cross - ram and original Goodyear tires.  Sold for $90 k, surprised with those rare options that it didn't go higher.

Restoration / TH350 Vacuum Modulator

Does anyone know what the correct color or finish should be on an original TH350 vacuum modulator ? I know the TH400 modulator should be black ? thanks.

Maintenance / Console Temp Guage won't go off Cold

Everything worked before I took the car apart. Now the temp guage does not work.  Replaced the temp sender. Replaced the resistor on the guage. All new wiring.  Removed teflon tape from sender. Grounding the sender sends the guage up one quarter.  What else could be wrong. It was a working guage before. Thanks

Friend is interested in this 1969 Z28. - Black Rally Sport JL8. Always suspicious of black Z28's and being an RS more than doubly so.

Originality / 1969 Convertible Rear Wiring

Car has been apart far too long. Have questions on the rear wiring. Does the wiring for the convertible top motor go under the rear seat backing or on top and is hidden by the well liner ? And does the wiring for the lights, etc go over the rear wheel well and where does it clip into ? There is one clip on it before the connector. Thanks

Restoration / 1969 Pace Restoration - Pin Stripes

In the process of restoring a 1969 Pace Car. My intention is to put the Indy 500 door decals on the car. Originally, the pin stripes would have extended over from the front fenders into the doors. My question is : Should I put the pin stripes on that way or stop them at the fender ? Just looking for feedback. Thanks
